Adhesive Inspired by Beetles

Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, Germany, have developed a new material that adheres without adhesives. Inspired by the soles of beetles’ feet, the special surface structure of the material allows it to stick to smooth walls without any adhesives. As it can be used again an again, the range of applications for this material is potentially very broad.
