Momentive Performance Materials (formerly GE Silicones) has introduced the LSR7000 series, a family of liquid silicone rubbers (LSR) that are 98% transparent. The rubbers cure to a high strength elastomer on heating to 170°C. The LSR can be used for applications that have specific optical requirements.
