Imagine a gallery full of paintings, drawings and sculptures, so small that no one can see them – not even the artists who created them. Artist J’Sha has teamed with ARmark™ Authentication Technologies to unveil what is believed to be the world’s smallest pieces of flat artwork. At a mere 100 microns tall, with features smaller than 1 micron, Finding Nano and Nano Light are smaller than a speck of dust and 1/8th the width of a strand of hair. These pieces were created using nanoentonography, a new technology invented by the artist. J’Sha says, “It’s very exciting to be involved in the emerging field of nanoart. Although I invented nanoentonography for industrial purposes, Willard Wigans’ amazing works of micro-sculpture inspired me to use this process to create even smaller, two-dimensional artworks.”
